In collaboration with BSC, a Nepali women’s empowerment centre established at Kathmandu’s river side, Sira has been working face to face, supporting by sharing innovative designs with different kinds of specialized crafts.
Chan, Man, Santi, Amrita, Sharmila etc. All of them mothers, strong women always looking for creative solutions. Every woman found her path through a different circumstance to start with her own business, but all of them are connected with the same entrepreneur’s spirit, believing in a better tomorrow and trusting in their own capacity.
Radha, the Community Manager of the BSC centre went together with the Designer outside the city, to directly experience every single entrepreneur’s personal environment, mostly around Kirtipur.
She designed several products accompanied with their packaging in order to try to improve their business. This was a training with jewelry, with the natural fibre of the pashminas, which is a special dye with colors reached from some climbing plants in the jungle or from a fruit’s shop recycled pomegranate skin and even out of recycled cotton bags.
Sira: “We learned from each other mutually.. They teached me to accept everyone in a real way, these ladies gave me a big love lesson.”
